Electronic Common Hospitality Aptitude Test

- Go to the official website of IIHM.
- Click on the link for the eCHAT 2024 application form.
- Fill out the application form completely with the required details.
- Pay the application fee of INR 600. You can pay online, or by cash, cheque, or demand draft at any IIHM campus.
- Submit the completed application form online or at any IIHM campus.
- If you apply online, the prospectus will be sent to your address by post.
- Your online registration is activated only after the exam fee is received.

The IIHM eCHAT 2024 exam is an online entrance test with a total of 50 questions. You must attempt all 50 questions within a time duration of 60 minutes (1 hour).
The question paper includes different types of questions to test your aptitude and skills. The types of questions are:
- Multiple choice
- True/False
- Text fill-in-the-blank
- Numeric fill-in-the-blank
- Multiple selections (you can select multiple answers)
- Picture-click multiple choice
The test covers questions from these broad sections:
- Logical Reasoning
- Mathematics
- General Knowledge
- Science
- English Language
Your admission does not depend solely on your marks in the exam. After the exam, shortlisted candidates are called for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. The interview generally takes place online, but if there is a change, it will be held at your nearby preferred centers.

The IIHM eCHAT 2024 syllabus is divided into four main sections. The total exam has 50 questions to be attempted in 60 minutes.
- English Language: Topics include idioms and phrases, rules of conjunctions, synonyms and antonyms, prepositions, sequence of words, rules of correct usage, and sentence completion.
- Mathematics: Topics include numerical ability, percentage, number system, profit and loss, HCF and LCM, simple interest and compound interest, ratio and proportion, and mixture and allegations.
- Logical Reasoning: Topics include alphabets test, mathematical operations and reasoning, statement and product test, classification test, Venn diagram test, decision-making test, and series test.
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs: Topics include current affairs, history, Indian economy, geography, Indian politics, general science, and scientific aptitude. It also covers physics, chemistry, biology, and service aptitude questions.

The cut-off for IIHM eCHAT is not a fixed score. Admission is based on your rank in the final merit list.
The merit list is prepared using your consolidated scores from the exam, group discussion, and personal interview. Your rank in this list decides if you are called for counseling and seat allotment.

IIHM eCHAT 2024 Result Overview
IIHM eCHAT 2024 result will be declared within 24 hours of commencement of the examination. The exam dates are April 13 and May 17, 2024.
Candidates can check the result by entering their IIHM eCHAT 2024 registration number and date of birth.

How to check IIHM eCHAT Result 2024?
The final list or result will be available only on the website. Just after the exam, candidates will receive their scores through their registered e-mail.
The final result will be declared after the group discussion and final interview. For the final merit list, candidates must check online by following these steps:
- Log on to the website, www.echat.elink.in
- Click on eChat 2024 Results.
- Enter details (registration number and date of birth) to get your results.
- Click on submit.
- Your result will be displayed on the screen.
- Take a print-out of the same for future use.
Note: The results will be declared online only. Students with queries can contact the individual college centers. The list of centers and their phone numbers will be displayed on the screen. Candidates can also mail the authorities at admin@iihm.ac.in.
IIHM eCHAT 2024 Score Card
IIHM eCHAT Scorecard 2024 has been sent to candidates immediately after the entrance test. Within 24 hours of eCHAT, candidates will know their scores in the exam.
The score card is sent to each candidate via their registered email id. It shows the total marks obtained in the entrance. However, these marks are not the final result.
The final result is based on the online test scores as well as the scores obtained in the group discussion and interview.
IIHM eCHAT 2024 Merit List
After clearing the GD and PI, IIHM will announce the final result of eCHAT 2024. The result will be declared by the last week of May 2024, following the previous years' trend.
All candidates need to check their final result online. The final result will be the merit list with the names of the short-listed candidates.
Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their overall performance in the online admission test, group discussion and personal interview.
IIHM eCHAT 2024 Cutoff
The eCHAT 2024 cut off list will be prepared by IIHM. Seat allotment procedure will be decided as per the cut-off list prepared by the exam conducting authority.
Admission to candidates qualifying for the current academic year 2024 will be offered based on the aggregate marks obtained by them in the online test, GD and PI.
IIHM eCHAT 2024 cut-off list will be tentatively available on the website after eCHAT results 2024 are declared. Candidates can check the cut-off list online as soon as it is released by the conducting authority.
IIHM eCHAT Counselling 2024
If shortlisted, candidates must appear for a personal interview round. The interview is generally taken in online mode.
If the interview is taken in offline mode, it will be conducted in the preferred center. The official will publish a merit list after conducting interview rounds.
The letter of IIHM eCHAT 2024 counselling will be mailed to candidates. It is mandatory to be present on the day of counselling to complete the admission process.
Along with the original documents, candidates must carry their self-attested photocopies.
IIHM eCHAT 2024 Cut-off List
The conducting authority will decide whether a separate IIHM eCHAT 2024 cut-off list is prepared for each of the 8 IIHM campuses. A single master cut-off list may be used for the seat allotment process instead.
Candidates can check the official website of their respective IIHM college for a separate cut-off list, if one is released.
IIHM eCHAT Counselling 2024
Qualified candidates will receive counselling letters via email. Admission offers will depend on marks scored in the online test, group discussion, and personal interview.
The selection process may also depend on an individual institute cut-off list or the master cut-off list. Candidates must be present on the counselling day to complete the admission process.

Candidates need to carry the following documents on the day of counselling:
