- Add the grade points from all subjects in the final exams, excluding additional subjects.
- Divide the total grade points by the number of subjects.
- The result of this division is the CGPA.
Here is an example of a student's grades and grade points in the Class 10 final exams:
| Subject | Grade | Grade points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | A1 | 10 |
| 2 | A2 | 9 |

| 5 | A1 | 10 |
| 6 | B2 | 7 |
| 7 | B1 | 8 |
| 8 | A2 | 9 |
- The total grade points for all subjects (excluding additional subjects) is: 10+9+8+7+10+7+8+9 = 68.

How to Calculate Percentage from CBSE Class 10 CGPA
CBSE will not provide aggregate marks or division on the CBSE Class 10 Result 2025. The percentage can be calculated using subject-wise marks.
There are 5 main subjects in the CBSE Class 10 Results. Add the marks obtained in each subject and divide the total by the aggregate marks for all 5 subjects (in this case, 500, with 100 marks per subject).
For example, the marks obtained in 5 subjects are:
- Subject 1 – 95
- Subject 2 – 82
- Subject 3 – 90
- Subject 4 – 92
- Subject 5 – 85
The total of these marks is 444. Divide this sum by 500 to obtain a decimal number.
444/500 = 0.888
Convert this decimal to a percentage by multiplying it by 100.
0.888 × 100 = 88.8%
