Madhya Pradesh NEET Counselling

Medical UG Offline
event July 2026

Madhya Pradesh NEET counselling is a seat allotment process, not an entrance examination. It is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, through the state's online counselling portal, and it allots undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental seats in the state to candidates who have already qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted nationally. No separate test is written for it. The only examination involved is NEET itself, and the counselling simply converts a NEET rank, together with the candidate's domicile, category and choices, into

Overview expand_more
The process covers the seats in Madhya Pradesh that are filled through the state quota, while the remaining share is filled by the national counselling committee. It runs in sequential rounds and each round follows the same sequence: online registration on the state portal, payment of the prescribed fees, uploading and verification of documents, choice filling and locking of colleges and courses, publication of a state merit list, and seat allotment on the basis of NEET rank, category and reservation rules of the state. Allotted candidates report to the college, complete verification and pay the fee, after which they may be eligible for upgradation in a later round or may have to withdraw under the stated rules. Mop-up and stray vacancy rounds follow if seats remain. The number of rounds, fees, bond conditions and forfeiture rules are laid down in the directorate's counselling notification.
Eligibility expand_more
Participation requires a qualifying score in NEET at the level applicable to the course, since the state does not conduct its own test. Undergraduate candidates must have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology and English, while postgraduate candidates must hold the medical or dental degree and internship completion required for that level. Domicile and residence conditions of Madhya Pradesh apply to state quota seats, and reservation follows state policy with the supporting certificates in the prescribed format. The qualifying percentile, the minimum age, category relaxations, bond obligations and the documents accepted as proof of domicile are specified in the official counselling notification, which candidates should read in full before registering.
