event June 27-28, July 4 and July 11-12, 2026

The Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) is the entrance examination for admission to selected undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Aliah University, Kolkata. It is taken by students seeking to pursue science-based courses such as B.Sc and M.Sc programmes in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, and Statistics.

Overview expand_more
AUAT is conducted by Aliah University for admission to its UG and PG science programmes. The test assesses candidates' knowledge in relevant subjects to ensure they meet the academic standards required for these courses. Successful candidates gain entry to programmes like B.Sc Honours in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, and Statistics, as well as M.Sc programmes in these disciplines. The exam is held over multiple dates to accommodate a larger number of applicants.
Eligibility expand_more
Candidates must have passed 10+2 for undergraduate programmes or hold a relevant bachelor's degree for postgraduate programmes. Specific eligibility depends on the chosen course; for example, B.Sc Honours in Physics requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while B.Sc Honours in Mathematics requires Mathematics, Physics, and one other science subject. Additional criteria such as minimum aggregate marks may apply and are specified in the programme details.

Cut-offs expand_more

AUAT does not have one common cutoff mark for all programmes. Admission cutoffs vary by programme, category, merit rank and available seats. A single previous-year cutoff figure could not be confirmed reliably across the Science programmes, so no cutoff number is provided here.

Results expand_more

Aliah University publishes AUAT results and merit ranks after the entrance examinations. For AUAT-2026, the university published the result for the 4-year B.Tech and BCA programmes on July 27, 2026, and the UG and PG merit/rank results were subsequently made available through the admission process.

Candidates can check their result or rank through the university's admission portal using their registered login details. The result or rank is used for the subsequent counselling, seat-allocation and admission process.

AUAT is an admission-specific examination. The result and merit rank are used for admission to the academic session for which the examination was conducted and are not a general score valid for future admission years.
