Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test

Arts UG Offline
event May 2026

The Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test, known as JSAT, is an admission test used by O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, for entry to several of its undergraduate programmes in areas such as liberal arts and humanities, law, and other social science and professional streams offered by its schools. It is taken by candidates finishing class 12 or already holding that qualification who want to join the university. It is an institution specific test rather than a national common test, so the score is used for admission to this university alone. The university also accepts scores from certain other

Overview expand_more
The test is generally an aptitude paper rather than a syllabus based subject paper, assessing reading comprehension and verbal ability, critical and logical reasoning, and quantitative or analytical reasoning at a general level, so a candidate from any class 12 stream can attempt it. It is normally delivered in a computer based or remotely proctored format, with the number of questions, duration, sectional structure and negative marking announced in the admission notice for the cycle in question. Scores feed into a merit assessment that may also consider past academic record, and for some programmes an interview or a statement of purpose forms part of the selection. The university runs multiple admission cycles in a year for some programmes, and the test is offered on more than one date in several of those cycles. All details on structure, accepted alternative test scores and deadlines should be taken from the official admission notification.
Eligibility expand_more
Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board, in any stream, or be appearing in that examination in the current year with results submitted by the deadline the university sets. Some programmes list additional subject requirements at the class 12 level, and postgraduate or professional variants of the test require a completed bachelor degree instead. The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination, the age conditions if any, and the relaxations available are specified in the official admission notification of the university for the relevant cycle. Candidates applying with the score of an accepted alternative aptitude test must also meet the validity conditions stated there, so the notification should be read before applying.
How to apply expand_more
  1. Candidates must register online on the university's website.
  2. Candidates must upload their scanned documents and pay the application fee.
