Chhattisgarh Pre MCA

Computer-applications UG Offline
event May 2026

The Chhattisgarh Pre MCA is a state level entrance examination used for admission to Master of Computer Applications programmes in institutions in Chhattisgarh. It is taken by graduates who want to study computer applications at government, aided and private colleges in the state that admit students through the state counselling process. The test is conducted by the state professional examination board, and the score is used to prepare a merit list for centralised counselling, in which candidates fill college choices and are allotted seats. Because it is a state level test, the result is used

Overview expand_more
The examination is an objective, multiple choice paper written in a single sitting. It generally assesses mathematics at the level expected of a graduate applicant, computer awareness and basic concepts of computing, logical and analytical reasoning, and English language ability, so that a candidate's preparedness for a master's programme in computer applications can be judged. The number of questions, the duration, the medium of the question paper and the marking scheme, including any deduction for wrong answers, are stated in the official information brochure for that cycle. Results are issued as scores and ranks. Admission then runs through the centralised counselling conducted by the state authority, in which qualified candidates register, fill and order choices of colleges, are allotted seats in rounds on merit and category, complete document verification and pay the fee. Participating institutions include university departments and affiliated colleges across the state, as listed in the counselling brochure.
Eligibility expand_more
A candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university, and the qualifying degree must meet the subject requirement prescribed for the programme, which for computer applications commonly means mathematics studied at the Class 12 or graduation level, as specified in the notification. Candidates in the final year of their degree may generally apply subject to producing proof of passing before admission is confirmed. Domicile and reservation benefits under the state quota are granted only on production of the certificates prescribed by the state government. The minimum marks required in the qualifying degree, the relaxation available to reserved categories and any age condition are laid down in the official notification and counselling brochure for the relevant admission year, and eligibility is verified before a seat is confirmed.
