Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination

Engineering UG Offline
event May 2026

The Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination, abbreviated as MUEEE, is the admission test conducted by Mizoram University, a central university at Aizawl, for entry to its undergraduate engineering programmes. It is taken mainly by candidates from Mizoram and the neighbouring region who have completed class 12 with science subjects and want to join a bachelor of technology course at the university and its constituent or affiliated engineering institutions. It is a university level test rather than a national one, so the score is used for admission there alone. Candidates are ranked

Overview expand_more
The paper is objective and multiple choice and is based on the class 11 and class 12 syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, so preparation follows the standard higher secondary science course rather than any special material. The test is normally held at centres in Mizoram, and the number of questions, the duration, the distribution across the three subjects and the marking scheme including any negative marking are stated in the prospectus issued with each notification. After the result the university publishes a merit list and conducts counselling in which qualified candidates verify documents, indicate branch preferences and are allotted seats in the branches on offer, with reservation applied under central university and state rules. Seats remaining after the main rounds may be filled in later rounds. Since a university may change its admission route from year to year, candidates should confirm the current position from the official admission notification before preparing.
Eligibility expand_more
Candidates must have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects, meeting the minimum marks the university specifies in its prospectus, and relaxation for reserved category candidates and persons with disabilities is given as stated there. Students appearing in the class 12 examination in the current year are normally allowed to apply provisionally, subject to producing the result by the deadline. Certain seats may be restricted by state or regional residence rules, and category, tribal status and domicile certificates are required where such claims are made. Any age condition, the accepted equivalent qualifications and the documents needed at verification are set out in the official admission notification.
