Bihar Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling

Engineering UG Online
event May 13 to June 5, 2026

Bihar UGEAC is the state-level counselling process for B.Tech admission in government engineering colleges of Bihar. It is conducted for candidates who have appeared for JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 and seek admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in Bihar's government engineering colleges. UGEAC is not a separate entrance examination but a centralized counselling mechanism based on JEE Main 2026 merit.

Overview expand_more
Bihar Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) is organized by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in government engineering colleges across Bihar. The counselling process is conducted in multiple rounds and is based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1. UGEAC provides a structured platform for eligible candidates to secure seats in B.Tech programmes without appearing for a separate entrance test. The process ensures transparency and merit-based allocation of seats in government engineering institutions in Bihar.

They must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Additionally, they should have studied one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a technical vocational subject as per the requirements for B.Tech admission. The eligibility criteria are determined by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

Cut-offs expand_more

UGEAC cut-offs are published as opening and closing ranks for individual colleges, courses, seat types and categories. The counselling authority has published first- and second-round opening and closing rank documents for UGEAC 2026.

UGEAC does not declare an examination score because it is a counselling process based on JEE Main 2026 merit. The counselling authority publishes UGEAC rank cards and seat-allotment results.

The UGEAC 2026 rank card was published on June 23, 2026. The first-round provisional seat-allotment result was published on July 4, 2026, and the second-round provisional seat-allotment result was published on July 17, 2026.

Candidates can check their allotment using their counselling credentials and download the allotment order when a seat is assigned. The allotment is applicable to the relevant admission year and counselling cycle.
