Haryana LEET Exam Preparation Tips
Preparation for the Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test requires a clear strategy. The points below cover the main areas to focus on during preparation.
General Test-Taking Strategy
- Read the instructions on the question paper carefully before starting.
- Do not spend too much time on a single question. Move to the next question quickly to manage time.
- Attempt the easier questions first to build confidence and save time for tougher ones.
- Answer all questions since there is no negative marking in the exam.
Study Timetable
A structured timetable is the base of preparation. Experts suggest giving at least 2-3 hours daily to each of the three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Keep one additional hour for revision every day. A fixed schedule helps cover the full syllabus in a systematic way.
Mock Tests
Mock tests help measure preparation progress. Solve chapter-wise mock test papers after finishing each chapter.
After completing the entire syllabus, take full-length mock test papers. This practice builds familiarity with exam conditions and shows which areas need more work.

Understanding the Rank Table
The table lists opening ranks for each institute and branch. A dash (–) means no seat was filled in that branch for the given category.
TFW stands for Tuition Fee Waiver. Ranks marked with TFW are for candidates who applied under this scheme.
Branch-wise Rank Highlights
For Computer Science Engineering (CSE), the lowest opening rank is 847 at Seth Jai Prakash Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology. The highest opening rank for CSE is 2884 at Hindu College of Engineering.
For Mechanical Engineering (ME), the opening ranks range from 307 at Seth Jai Prakash Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology to 4074(TFW) at Aravali College of Engineering.
How to Use This Data
Candidates can compare their rank with these opening ranks to estimate their chances for a particular institute and branch. A rank better than the opening rank means a higher chance of admission in the first round.
These ranks are from the first round of counselling. Actual admission may vary in later rounds based on seat availability and candidate choices.
