About
The Amgen Scholars Program gives undergraduate students worldwide a chance to spend a summer doing hands-on research in science and biotechnology at leading universities. The program is funded by the Amgen Foundation and is open to students who are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and have completed at least their first year of study. Participants work alongside experienced researchers and gain exposure to cutting-edge techniques in laboratories and academic settings.
Eligibility
Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (or equivalent) at a college or university outside of the United States. They should have completed at least their first year of undergraduate study by the start of the summer program and must plan to return to their undergraduate studies after the program ends. There are no academic performance or income restrictions listed on the official page.
How to apply
Visit the official Amgen Scholars Program website to find participating host institutions and their application requirements. Prepare academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose as specified by the host university. Submit the application directly to the host institution before the deadline they publish. Each host may have additional requirements, so check their page carefully.
