About
The Indo-U.S. Fellowship for Women in STEMM supports Indian women scientists, engineers, and technologists to conduct research at leading U.S. institutions. Administered jointly by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), the program aims to strengthen research skills through international collaboration. Participants gain access to advanced facilities and mentorship in STEMM fields such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine.
Eligibility
Open to Indian women scientists, engineers, and technologists at all academic levels. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a STEMM discipline. There are no strict marks or income criteria, but preference is given to those with a strong research background. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and other reserved categories are encouraged to apply.
How to apply
Interested candidates must submit an online application through the official IUSSTF portal. Required documents typically include a research proposal, CV, recommendation letters, and proof of academic qualifications. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview. The exact submission process and deadlines are listed on the program’s official page.
