About
The NCERT-National Talent Search Examination is a national-level scholarship programme for Indian students studying in class X. It aims to identify and nurture talented students by providing financial assistance and recognition for their academic achievements. The examination assesses students' mental ability, scholastic aptitude, and general awareness to select deserving candidates for the scholarship.
Eligibility
Students studying in class X in any recognised school in India, including Sainik Schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas, are eligible to apply. There are no income or category-based restrictions. However, students must meet the minimum qualifying marks set by NCERT for the examination. The examination is open to all eligible students regardless of their background.
How to apply
Students must first obtain the application form from their respective schools or designated centres. The completed form, along with required documents, must be submitted to the Liaison Officer of the concerned State or Union Territory. For any enquiries, students should contact the Liaison Officer whose addresses are provided in the regional advertisements published in newspapers.
