The Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) is a national-level competitive scholarship program that supports meritorious Indian students pursuing science, engineering, medical, or degree courses. The exam assesses academic aptitude and subject knowledge to identify top performers who receive financial aid for their studies. By providing tuition assistance based on test performance, NEST aims to reduce the financial burden of education and encourage students to strive for higher academic and career achievements.

Open to Indian students enrolled in science, engineering, medical, or degree programs at recognized institutions. Applicants must meet the academic criteria specified by the program. The official page lists current eligibility requirements, including minimum marks or category-based relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, PwD, and DNT candidates.
