About

The CCIM Central Council for Indian Medicine sets and enforces the minimum education standards for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani Tibb, and other Indian Systems of Medicine. It maintains the Central Register of Indian Medicine practitioners and issues guidelines on professional conduct, ethics, and inspection of colleges and hospitals. The Council also appoints medical inspectors and visitors to ensure compliance with prescribed standards across institutions.

Eligibility

The scheme is open to Indian students enrolled in or seeking admission to recognized Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani Tibb, or other Indian medicine programs at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. There are no income or mark-based conditions specified by the Council. Applicants must ensure their institution is recognized by CCIM or the state licensing authority.

How to apply

Students should first confirm their eligibility and the recognition status of their institution on the official CCIM website. They must then follow the admission or registration process as prescribed by their respective college or university. The Council does not directly accept applications; students apply through their institution, which submits required details to CCIM for verification and registration.
