About
The CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) 2014 scholarship supports Indian students pursuing a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for the PhD Programme in sciences and engineering. The scheme is designed for students who have qualified in national-level examinations such as CSIR/UGC-NET JRF, DST-INSPIRE, ICMR, or DBT fellowships. Research areas include chemistry, biology, biotechnology, microbiology, environmental sciences, genetics, zoology, physics, and allied sciences for science streams, and chemical or mechanical engineering for engineering streams. Selected fellows will engage in advanced research at CSIR-IICT, contributing to cutting-edge developments in chemical sciences and technology.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, etc.) with a valid rank in CSIR/UGC-NET JRF, DST-INSPIRE, ICMR, or DBT fellowship. For engineering, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with a qualifying fellowship or NET score. Candidates must be Indian nationals. There are no specific income or marks conditions beyond the qualifying examination criteria.
How to apply
Interested candidates should apply online through the official CSIR-IICT portal when the application window is open. Submit academic transcripts, fellowship award letter or NET scorecard, a research proposal, and letters of recommendation. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or written test. Ensure all documents are attested and submitted before the deadline listed on the official page.
