The Taiwan Elite Scholarship Opportunity for University Lecturers is a government-funded program for Indian university lecturers without a doctoral degree who wish to pursue a PhD in Taiwan. Administered by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India on behalf of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the scholarship aims to support lecturers in enhancing their research capabilities and contributing to the international standing of their home institutions. Recipients gain access to advanced academic training and cross-border academic networks in Taiwan.

Applicants must be Indian university lecturers currently employed at a recognized higher education institution. They should not hold a doctoral degree. Priority may be given to candidates from public universities or those with a proven teaching and research record. There are no explicit income or grade thresholds mentioned; selection is based on academic merit and institutional endorsement.

Interested candidates should prepare an application dossier including proof of employment, academic transcripts, a research proposal, and letters of recommendation. Submit the completed application to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India as per their specified format. Late or incomplete applications are typically not considered.
