About
The Young Researcher Award is a competitive fellowship for Indian researchers under 40 who hold a PhD in any biological science. It provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 on top of the host institute’s salary, plus an annual contingency grant of Rs. 5.00 lakh. The grant covers consumables, minor equipment, domestic and international travel, manpower, and other approved expenses. Awardees must submit bills and receipts to the Lady Tata Memorial Trust office every six months for reimbursement of incurred costs.
Eligibility
Open to Indian nationals residing in India who are below 40 years of age as on 31 March of the year of application. Applicants must possess a PhD degree in any biological science. There are no additional income, marks, or category-based conditions specified by the provider.
How to apply
Apply online through the official portal listed on the Lady Tata Memorial Trust website. Prepare and upload academic transcripts, PhD certificate, age proof, research proposal, and host-institute acceptance letter. Ensure all documents are attested and submitted before the deadline. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or presentation.
