The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2012 is a national-level scholarship and entrance test for Indian students aiming to pursue MBBS or BDS programs in government medical and dental colleges. Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it serves as a gateway to 15% of the total seats in these institutions. The exam evaluates candidates' proficiency in physics, chemistry, and biology through a two-stage process: a preliminary test followed by a final examination.

Open to Indian nationals who have passed Class 12 or are appearing for it in the current academic year. Applicants must have studied physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English as core subjects. There is no income limit, but candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks set by CBSE. Reservation applies as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD categories.

Register online through the official AIPMT portal when applications are open. Fill in personal, academic, and contact details, upload required documents, and pay the application fee. Download the admit card before the preliminary examination. After qualifying, appear for the final examination and counseling as per CBSE guidelines.
