About
CAT 2006, also known as the Common Admission Test, is the national-level entrance exam for admission to postgraduate management programs at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top business schools in India. It is designed for students who have completed or are in the final year of their bachelor's degree and wish to pursue an MBA or equivalent program starting in 2007.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories) from a recognized university. The eligibility criteria may vary slightly depending on the specific IIM or program applied for. Final-year bachelor’s degree students are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the minimum marks requirement at the time of admission.
How to apply
Register online through the official CAT portal when applications open. Fill in personal, academic, and work details accurately. Upload required documents such as a passport-sized photograph and signature. Pay the application fee through the available payment modes. After submission, download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
