Eligibility
This is an admission notice, so the conditions that matter are course admission conditions rather than scholarship criteria. The training programme in language education is generally intended for candidates with a graduate level qualification who wish to work with a modern Indian language, and in many cycles preference is given to serving teachers and to candidates nominated by state education departments. Language background, the regional centre applied for and the availability of seats also influence selection. The qualifications, age conditions and reservation rules that apply to a given session are set out in the official CIIL notification, which should be read before applying.
How to apply
Candidates should visit the official Central Institute of Indian Languages website and open the notification for the training programme in language education for the session that is currently announced. The usual route is to fill in the prescribed application form, indicate the regional centre and the modern Indian language chosen, attach educational certificates and, where required, a sponsorship or nomination letter from the employer or state department, and send the completed form to the address given in the notification before the announced closing date. Since the institute revises its application process from time to time, the official site should be checked for the current form.
