About
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level entrance examination for students seeking admission to postgraduate pharmacy programs in India. Conducted annually by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the exam assesses candidates' knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences and related fields. The test is held across multiple centers nationwide, providing a standardized platform for pharmacy graduates to pursue higher education in reputed institutions.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Final-year B.Pharm students are also eligible to apply. There is no upper age limit, and candidates from all categories—General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and others—can participate. Specific eligibility criteria, including minimum qualifying marks, are updated on the official GPAT website each year.
How to apply
Interested candidates must register online through the official GPAT portal. The application process involves filling in personal and academic details, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee. After submission, candidates should download and retain a copy of the confirmation page for future reference. Detailed instructions, including syllabus and exam pattern, are available on the official websites.
