About
The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) invites applications for its M.Sc. programme in Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology for the year 2015. This programme is designed for students who have completed their undergraduate studies and are seeking advanced training in bioinformatics and biotechnology. Recognized by the University of Mysore, the course offers strong placement prospects in both industry and academia, including opportunities for Ph.D. programmes. The programme combines rigorous academic training with practical exposure to prepare students for careers in the growing biotechnology sector in India and abroad.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science, engineering, or medicine from a recognized university. Candidates in their final year of undergraduate studies may also apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria by the time of admission. There are no specific marks or income criteria mentioned for this programme. The selection process is based on academic performance, written test scores, and an interview.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted online before the deadline specified on the official IBAB admissions page. After applying, candidates will take an online written test conducted remotely between 3-5 June 2015. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an in-person interview in Bengaluru from 29 June to 4 July 2015. Final selections will be announced, and selected candidates are expected to join the programme on 19 July 2015.
