Eligibility

As an admission notice, this entry describes course entry conditions rather than criteria for an award, and the conditions recorded relate to a past academic year. For a bachelor of science degree course of this kind, candidates are generally expected to have passed the higher secondary examination, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the affiliating university, from a recognised board. Diploma and certificate courses at such institutes commonly carry lighter entry requirements and may accept candidates who completed school at an earlier stage. Selection may involve an aptitude test or an interview. The current entry requirements for each course are set by the institute and its affiliating university and are published in the current admission notification.

How to apply

The application process in this record belongs to a past admission cycle and should not be followed as it stands. Institutes of this kind normally publish a prospectus and an application form, either for download or through an online portal, and ask candidates to submit it with a prescribed fee, copies of school mark sheets, a transfer or conduct certificate, an identity document and photographs. Some courses add a portfolio review, an aptitude test or an interview. Prospective applicants should contact the Madras Institute of Fashion Technology or consult its official website for the current form, the fee, the document checklist and the announced closing date before applying.
