Eligibility
Admission to the undergraduate design programmes is generally open to candidates who have completed the senior secondary school examination from any stream, while the postgraduate programmes are normally aimed at candidates holding a bachelor degree in any discipline, with some specialisations preferring a related background. Selection typically involves a design aptitude test, a studio or portfolio task and a personal interview rather than school marks alone. Because the qualifying examination requirements, portfolio expectations and any age conditions are revised for each intake, applicants should confirm them from the current admission notification of the institute.
How to apply
Applications are made through the official admissions portal of the institute for the intake concerned. Candidates are normally expected to register, complete the online form, choose their programme and test centre, pay the application fee and then appear for the design aptitude test on the scheduled day, followed by the studio test and interview stage for those who clear it. Results and seat offers are communicated through the same portal. Registration remains open only until the announced closing date for the intake, and that date, along with the test schedule and fee details, is published on the official website.
