The National Research Centre for Mushroom scholarship provides a modest financial award of Rs 11,000 to students across all study levels who are interested in mushroom research. It is administered by the government‑run National Research Centre for Mushroom and supports research activities such as collection, identification and culturing of fungi from the Western Himalayas. Applicants receive the amount as a one‑time grant to cover research‑related expenses, and the scheme is open throughout the year as indicated on the official page.

Open to any Indian student enrolled in a diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral programme. There are no caste, income or specific academic‑score requirements mentioned, so all categories of students may apply regardless of their field of study, provided the research aligns with mushroom or fungal studies.

Visit the official National Research Centre for Mushroom page and download the latest scholarship application form. Fill in personal and academic details, attach proof of enrolment and a brief research proposal related to mushroom science. Submit the completed form and supporting documents as instructed, and attend any required walk‑in interview or selection meeting scheduled by the centre.
