The Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2026-2027 supports specially-abled students pursuing diploma or degree courses in AICTE-approved technical institutions. Each year, recipients receive a fixed scholarship amount to cover incidental expenses. The scheme aims to reduce financial barriers and encourage higher education among persons with disabilities in engineering, technology, and management programs.

Specially-abled students with a minimum 40% disability are eligible. Applicants must be admitted to the first year of a degree program or the second year through lateral entry in an AICTE-approved institution. The annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs. 8 lakh, supported by a valid income certificate issued by a State or Union Territory government.

Apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) using your Aadhaar-linked account. Register if new, then fill the Saksham Scholarship application with personal, academic, and income details. Upload required documents such as disability certificate, income proof, and admission letter. Submit the form before the deadline specified on the portal.
