The Haryana Post Matric Scholarship supports deserving and financially weaker students in Haryana to pursue higher education. It aligns with the state's goal of improving access, equity, and quality in higher education. The Government of India and Government of Haryana jointly fund this scheme to encourage students from marginalized communities to continue their studies beyond the matriculation level.

Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Denotified Tribes (DNT), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are eligible. Applicants must be permanent residents of Haryana and studying at the post-matriculation level (Class 11 and above). Family income should not exceed the limit set by the government.
