About
The Ministry of Minority Affairs offers the Free Coaching & Allied Scheme to help minority students in Classes 11 and 12 prepare for competitive exams in science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. This initiative aims to support students from minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Zoroastrians (Parsis), by providing focused coaching and allied support. The scheme was launched on a pilot basis during 2013-14 and operates in select states through Accredited/Authorized Agencies (AJTs).
Eligibility
Students must belong to notified minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/Parsis). They should be studying in Class 11 or 12 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics). The scheme prioritizes students from families with annual income below a threshold, as specified on the official page. Applicants must meet the academic criteria set by the implementing agencies.
How to apply
Eligible students should visit the official Ministry of Minority Affairs website or the National Scholarship Portal for application details. They must register, fill in the required information, and upload necessary documents. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by the Accredited/Authorized Agencies (AJTs) conducting the coaching. Selection is based on merit and community criteria.
