About
The AICTE Scholarships are government-funded awards for Indian students pursuing technical education. Administered by the All India Council for Technical Education, these scholarships support girl students and differently abled students enrolled in AICTE-approved institutions. The scholarship covers tuition fees and provides a monthly contingency allowance to help with academic expenses. Two schemes are offered: PRAGATI for girls and a separate scheme for students with disabilities, each designed to reduce financial barriers in higher education.
Eligibility
For the PRAGATI scheme, girl students must be admitted to AICTE-approved technical programs and have a family income below Rs. 6 lakhs per year. For the scholarship for differently abled students, applicants must meet disability criteria as defined by government norms and be enrolled in AICTE-recognized courses. Both schemes require admission to AICTE-approved institutions.
How to apply
Eligible students must apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Applications require uploading documents such as income certificates, disability certificates (if applicable), admission letters, and bank details. The application process includes registration, filling the form, and submitting it online. Only students admitted to AICTE-approved institutions are eligible. The official page lists the current application procedure and required documents.
