About
The Asia Foundation Development Fellows program is a leadership and development initiative for young professionals from Asia. It offers intensive learning modules, including short courses, conferences, and study tours in Asia and the U.S., to strengthen leadership skills, deepen knowledge of critical development challenges, and expand professional networks. The program leverages The Asia Foundation’s 18-country network and expertise to provide a multifaceted experience aimed at emerging leaders shaping Asia’s future.
Eligibility
Open to young professionals from Asia who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to development. Applicants typically hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and have at least 3–5 years of professional experience. The program prioritizes candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those from underrepresented groups. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in an Asian language is an advantage.
How to apply
Submit an online application through the official portal, including a resume, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and proof of English proficiency. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview or additional assessments. The selection process evaluates leadership potential, professional achievements, and commitment to development. Check the official page for the current application requirements and deadlines.
