About
The Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) Long Term Grants support early to mid-career practitioners in arts and heritage conservation to pursue a full-time diploma or master’s course in the UK. The scholarship is designed for professionals seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge through short-term academic programs. CWIT grants cover living costs and course fees in the UK, along with a contribution toward international travel. Applicants must arrange funds for additional expenses such as visas, insurance, and domestic travel in India. The program does not support two-year courses or long-term degrees.
Eligibility
Open to Indian nationals who are early to mid-career professionals in arts or heritage conservation. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and have at least three years of work experience. There are no specific income or mark requirements, but candidates must demonstrate professional achievements. Priority may be given to applicants from underrepresented groups. The scholarship is not available for PhD or research-based programs.
How to apply
Visit the official British Council India page for the latest application guidelines and forms. Prepare a detailed proposal outlining your study plan and career goals. Submit academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a portfolio or work samples if required. Ensure all documents are attested and translated if necessary. Apply before the deadline listed on the official page.
