About
The Government of Czech Republic Scholarships to Indian Nationals 2026-2027 provides fully funded opportunities for Indian postgraduate students to study at public universities in the Czech Republic. The scholarship is offered under a bilateral agreement between the two countries and covers tuition, accommodation, health insurance and a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme. It is open to candidates who wish to pursue master’s or research degrees in any discipline offered by Czech public institutions. Applications are managed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, and details are published on the official Ministry of Education portal.
Eligibility
Indian nationals who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are seeking postgraduate study (master’s or Ph.D.) are eligible. Candidates must have a minimum academic standing as defined by the Czech Embassy, typically a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10‑point scale or equivalent. The scholarship is open to all categories of students, including those from SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD, provided they meet the merit criteria. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction or meet the university’s language requirements.
How to apply
Download the application form and checklist from the official notification link. Prepare required documents such as academic transcripts, degree certificates, passport copy, language test scores, recommendation letters and a statement of purpose. Submit the complete dossier in person or by post to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi before the deadline of 2023-02-15. After submission, the Embassy will forward eligible applications to the Czech authorities for final selection. Applicants can track updates on the Ministry of Education’s scholarship portal.
