The Research Scholarships offered by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) are designed for committed post-graduate students pursuing a PhD in Science Education. HBCSE, a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), focuses on research and development in science and mathematics education from primary to introductory college levels. The programme integrates cognitive, historical, and socio-cultural perspectives to enhance teaching and learning methodologies.

Applicants must hold an M.Sc. degree or be in the final year of their M.Sc. in physical sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, earth sciences, mathematics, statistics, or computer science. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, or other reserved categories are encouraged to apply. There are no specific income or mark-based conditions; selection is based on academic merit and research potential.

Interested candidates should visit the official HBCSE-TIFR website for the application form and guidelines. Submit a completed application along with academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or written test. Ensure all documents are submitted before the deadline mentioned on the official page.
