About
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research Visiting Scholars Program (VScP) supports Ph.D. scholars and junior faculty from Indian colleges and universities to conduct focused research. Selected scholars spend up to three months at IGIDR working on a research proposal that can be completed during their stay. The program runs annually from September 1 to March 31, providing a conducive environment for advancing research in economics and related fields.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a master's degree in any discipline and be registered for a Ph.D. in a topic broadly related to economics, including energy and environmental policy. The program is open to Ph.D. scholars and junior faculty members affiliated with Indian colleges or universities. There are no additional income, marks, or category-based conditions specified.
How to apply
Submit an application through the official IGIDR portal, including a research proposal, curriculum vitae, and a letter of recommendation from the Ph.D. supervisor or institutional head. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or asked to provide additional documentation. The official page lists the current application process and required documents.
