The IGNOU Admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme is for in-service teachers who wish to upgrade their professional qualifications through distance education. The programme combines self-instructional study materials, ICT tools, and personal contact sessions to balance theory and practice. Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), it aims to develop teaching skills, knowledge, and attitudes among practicing teachers.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks. In-service teachers with two years of teaching experience are eligible. Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD) receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks. The programme is open to Indian citizens only.
