About
The Ministry of Minority Affairs – MoMA Scholarships support students from six notified minority communities in India—Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Zoroastrian (Parsis), Muslim, and Christian—through three scholarship schemes: Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Merit-cum-Means. These centrally sponsored scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers and encourage academic progress among minority students at all study levels. The official page outlines eligibility and application details for the current academic year.
Eligibility
Students from minority communities (Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, Muslim, Christian) can apply. For Pre-Matric, applicants must be in Class 1 to 10. Post-Matric is for Class 11 onwards, and Merit-cum-Means is for technical or professional courses at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Family income should not exceed the threshold specified on the official scholarship page. Renewal applicants must have received the scholarship in the previous year.
How to apply
Applications are submitted online through the official portal listed on the Ministry’s website. Fresh applicants must register, fill in details, upload required documents, and submit before the deadline. Renewal applicants log in using their previous credentials, verify details, and resubmit. Ensure all documents, such as income certificate and community certificate, are uploaded in the correct format as per the official guidelines.
