About
The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) invites Indian researchers to submit proposals for scientific research in the Arctic region. This opportunity is open to scientists, academicians, and research scholars affiliated with recognized institutions in India. NCAOR, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, coordinates India’s Arctic research initiatives and supports studies in glaciology, climate science, oceanography, and related fields.
Eligibility
Open to Indian citizens affiliated with recognized universities, research institutions, or government organizations. Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline. Priority may be given to proposals aligned with NCAOR’s research priorities, such as Arctic climate change, biodiversity, or geophysical studies. No income or marks-based criteria apply.
How to apply
Submit a detailed research proposal through the official NCAOR portal. Include a cover letter, project summary, methodology, and budget estimate. Ensure the proposal aligns with NCAOR’s Arctic research themes. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. The official page lists the current submission guidelines and required formats.
