About
The Charles Wallace India Trust Short Term Research Grant supports Indian researchers and professionals who need up to three weeks in the UK for short-term research or creative work. Each year the Trust offers a limited number of grants to academics, artists and conservation specialists who can demonstrate how the visit will advance their project. The award is intended to offset basic costs during the stay and is not a full fellowship or degree scholarship.
Eligibility
Open to Indian citizens ordinarily resident in India. Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Researchers in any academic discipline are eligible, as are professionals in the arts or conservation fields. There are no minimum or maximum age limits, and no income or caste certificates are required.
How to apply
Apply online only through the official CWIT page before 17.00 hours IST on the published deadline date. Prepare a two-page research proposal, a detailed budget, a letter of invitation from a UK host institution or collaborator, and your CV. Upload all documents in PDF format and submit before the portal closes; emailed applications are no longer accepted.
