About
The Hindu-Hitachi Scholarships, offered in partnership with Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo, support young Indian engineers for technical training in Japan. Three scholarships are awarded annually to Indian citizens who hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or its equivalent and meet the age requirement. Preference is given to candidates with at least one year of professional experience in the relevant technical field. The scholarship aims to enhance practical skills and cross-cultural professional exposure for early-career engineers.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Indian citizens not older than 30 years as of the last date specified in the official notification. They should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E.) or B.Sc. (Engineering) or its equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates with at least one year of professional experience in the proposed training field are preferred. The official page lists any additional eligibility criteria, such as subject-specific requirements or work experience thresholds.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted as per the format and instructions provided on the official page. Candidates should prepare supporting documents, including academic transcripts, proof of age, degree certificates, and a statement of purpose outlining their training goals in Japan.
