About

The AICTE – Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) 2014 supports engineering faculty members in India to upgrade their qualifications by pursuing Ph.D. programs at recognized centers. The program is designed for teaching professionals in government or government-aided institutions who wish to enhance their expertise in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, or hotel management and catering technology. Through QIP, AICTE maintains a network of centers across the country to facilitate advanced research and academic growth for faculty members.

Eligibility

Applicants must be regular faculty members in AICTE-approved government or government-aided institutions. They should have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in an engineering or technical discipline. Preference is given to candidates below 45 years of age. There are no specific income or marks criteria, but selection is based on academic and professional merit.

How to apply

Interested candidates should apply through their respective institutions, which must be AICTE-approved. The institution forwards the application to the designated QIP center or AICTE for consideration. Required documents typically include academic transcripts, teaching experience certificates, and a research proposal. The official page lists the current application process and required forms.
