About

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2013 manages seat allocation for undergraduate admissions to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), and Self-Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs) in India. It is for Indian students who qualify through the JEE (Main) examination and seek admission to these technical institutes for the academic year 2013-14. CSAB conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation, including first, second, spot, and extra spot rounds, to ensure fair distribution of seats based on merit and preferences.

Eligibility

Students who appeared for JEE (Main) 2013 and secured an All India Rank are eligible. There are no specific income or category-based conditions for CSAB 2013 seat allocation. Eligibility is primarily determined by the JEE (Main) rank and the choices filled during the registration process. Reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD may have relaxed criteria as per government norms for the respective institutes.

How to apply

Eligible candidates must register online during the specified registration periods announced by CSAB. First and second round registrations typically open in July. After registration, students must fill in their preferred institutes and courses. Seat allocation results are published online, and candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the seat acceptance fee and completing document verification at the allotted institute within the given timeline.
