Basic Research Education And Development (BREAD) offers financial aid to Indian students who excelled in public exams but face financial barriers to pursuing higher education. The scholarship supports studies in science and technology fields such as Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Polytechnics, Mathematics, and Sciences. Due to limited funds, only the most eligible students are selected, with selection criteria applied uniformly across BREAD chapters in nine states.

Open to Indian students at all levels who have performed well in public exams but lack financial means to continue education. Priority is given to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The exact eligibility criteria, including income thresholds or merit benchmarks, are listed on the official BREAD application page.

Visit the official BREAD page for the current application form and instructions. Submit required documents such as academic records, income certificates, and proof of exam performance. Applications are reviewed by regional chapters, and only shortlisted candidates are contacted for further verification.
