A total of 55 fellowships are available, including 40 for the open category and 15 for candidates from the North-East Region.

Eligibility

Candidates must be registered for a Ph.D. or equivalent research degree at a recognized Indian university or institution. There are no specific income or mark-based conditions, but preference may be given to candidates from marginalized communities such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwD. The official page lists additional eligibility criteria.
