The British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM supports female students from South Asia who hold a bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field to pursue a master’s degree in the UK. This scholarship aims to empower women in STEM by providing financial assistance and fostering future generations of female leaders in these disciplines. The programme is designed for women who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to advancing gender equality in STEM careers.

Applicants must be women from a selected South Asian country, including India. They should hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject and demonstrate financial need for support. Priority is given to candidates who can show how their studies will contribute to inspiring other women to pursue STEM careers. Interested candidates should review the eligibility criteria and application process on the official scholarship page. Applications typically require submission of academic transcripts, proof of STEM degree, a statement of purpose, and a financial need assessment.
