The Kerala State Sports Council Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship supports talented student athletes in Kerala by offering financial assistance to help them balance education and sports. Aimed at school, college, and university students who excel in sports, this scholarship recognizes athletic potential while encouraging academic progress. It provides a platform for young sportspersons to develop their skills without financial constraints.

Open to students at all levels—school, undergraduate, postgraduate, or research—who are residents of Kerala and have represented the state or nation in recognized sports competitions. Priority is given to athletes from economically weaker sections, though no specific income or academic marks are mandated. Candidates must be nominated by recognized sports bodies or educational institutions.

Download the application form from the Kerala State Sports Council’s official website or collect it from district sports offices. Complete the form with personal, academic, and sports achievement details, attach required certificates (identity proof, sports awards, academic records), and submit it to the nearest district sports council office before the deadline. Late or incomplete applications are not considered.
