Eligibility

No scholarship conditions apply, because this is a course admission notice. Candidates for a postgraduate diploma in print journalism are ordinarily expected to hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university in any discipline, and selection for programmes of this kind usually rests on a written test in language and general awareness followed by an interview or group discussion. Some institutions also set an upper age limit and ask for samples of written work. The requirements that applied to the batch named in the notice may differ from those in force now, so the current prospectus on the official website is the only reliable source.

How to apply

As described in the notice, applicants requested the prospectus and application form by post, enclosing a demand draft drawn in favour of the school and payable at its home town, then returned the completed form with their degree certificates and mark statements before attending the selection test and interview. That process reflects the intake announced at the time and is not a procedure to follow today. Journalism schools now commonly accept applications through an online portal with online payment. Prospective students should consult the institution's official website for the current admission notification, the application route and the announced closing date.
