About

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) offers postgraduate training programmes for medical graduates who wish to specialise in public health and communicable disease control. Established in 1963 as the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, NCDC functions as an apex institution under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It plays a key role in training healthcare professionals and conducting operational research both nationally and internationally to strengthen disease surveillance and outbreak response systems.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised institution. Both fresh graduates and in-service MBBS doctors working in health institutions or organisations are eligible. The programme is open to all categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and DNT. There are no specific income or mark-based conditions; selection is based on academic merit and institutional sponsorship where applicable.

How to apply

Visit the official NCDC website for the latest application details. Prepare your MBBS degree certificate, mark sheets, and any required sponsorship or experience certificates. Submit the application form online as per the instructions provided on the portal. Ensure all documents are uploaded in the prescribed format. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email or the official website for further selection procedures.
