About
The NICD-Admission Notice 2005 invites in-service medical personnel holding an MBBS degree to apply for the Master of Public Health – Field Epidemiology (MPH-FE) programme. This two-year course is designed for professionals with at least five years of experience, preferably in state health services. The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), established in 1963 under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, conducts this programme to strengthen field epidemiology capacity in the country. The MPH-FE focuses on applied research, outbreak investigation, and public health surveillance to address communicable disease challenges in India.
Eligibility
Applicants must be in-service medical officers with an MBBS degree from a recognized institution. They should have a minimum of five years of work experience, with preference given to those working in state health services. The programme is open to medical professionals across India without income or mark-based restrictions. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and other reserved categories are encouraged to apply as per government norms.
How to apply
Interested candidates should obtain the application form from the NICD official page. Fill in the required details, attach necessary documents such as MBBS degree certificate, experience proof, and caste certificate (if applicable), and submit the completed form to the institute before the deadline. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or entrance test as per NICD’s selection process. Ensure all documents are attested and submitted in the prescribed format.
