The Prof. Saroj Sood Scholarship Scheme supports Indian students at all study levels who excel in sports but face financial constraints. It aims to remove monetary barriers so deserving candidates can continue their education and athletic training without interruption. The scholarship offers financial assistance and access to opportunities that help balance academic and sporting commitments.

Open to Indian students enrolled in any recognized school, college, or university in India. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding performance in sports and belong to families with limited financial means. Priority is given to students from economically weaker sections, including SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, DNT, and PwD categories. Selection is based on both sporting achievements and economic need.
