The Board of Secondary Education Odisha National Rural Talent Scholarship – NRTS Examination – 2020 is a state-government scholarship for rural students continuing from Class VIII to Class IX. It identifies talented students from government-recognised schools in Odisha and offers them financial support to continue their secondary education. The examination tests aptitude and academic ability, ensuring deserving candidates receive recognition and assistance.

Students studying in any school recognised by the Government of Odisha or holding an NOC from it are eligible. They must have passed Class VIII with at least 60% marks in the final examination and be enrolled in Class IX. For SC and ST students, the minimum marks requirement is relaxed to 50%. Schools following a non-Board syllabus are not eligible to participate.

Schools must register eligible candidates online through the official portal before the deadline. Each school can register any number of qualified students without a limit. The registration process includes entering student details, uploading marksheets, and paying the required fee. After registration, admit cards are issued for the NRTS examination.
